Looking for something fun to do this summer? Take a non-credit class at JJC! JJC's continuing education courses are fun and interest-based, meant more for enjoyment than a grade. These classes, which are open to both students and community members, cover a wide range of topics which include local history, cooking, music, crafts and more. They are offered every semester.

aromatherapy
1. Home Relaxation Aromatherapy (LLC 5632)

Have you ever been curious about aromatherapy? In this class, you'll learn how to use aromatherapy to create the ideal environment for your life. This workshop is great for everyone, especially stressed out parents.

Enjoy 45 minutes of continuous movement using basic combinations found in Tai Chi and Qigong. You'll get to e
njoy great music, great energy - and most of all, great people! This experience will feature easy-to-follow, mirror image, continuous movement to create a gentle exercise and energizing FLOW for small spaces. Our focus is simple - to reduce tension in the body and allow energy (Qi) to FLOW. No experience required. All are welcome. Chairs will be provided for support or for those who wish to participate from a seated position.

3. Heartsaver CPR (LLC 3637)

Monday, June 3
5:30 to 9 p.m.

Learn to save someone's life in this class that will cover adult, child and infant CPR. This class will also demonstrate how to use automated external defibrillators (AEDs). If you successfully complete the skills test, you will receive a course completion card.

4. Let's Play with Photography (LLC 5627)
Main Campus and Offsite Locations
Monday and Saturday, June 3-17 
7 to 8:30 p.m. (Mondays)
10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (Saturdays)

Are you an amateur photographer? Take this class to learn how to create captivating images using fun light-bending techniques! You must have an interchangeable lens camera with manual exposure setting capability. Monday classes will meet at Main Campus. Saturday sessions will meet at offsite locations. There will be no class on June 10.

Planning an adventure to a Spanish speaking destination? Join this friendly class designed to teach you the basics needed for travel. You'll learn everything from how to greet others, how to ask for directions, how to order food and more. 
All attendees will receive a reference book.

6. The New York World's Fair 1964-1965 (LLC 5624)

Experience the fun of the New York World's Fair of 1964-1965! This class will take a nostalgic tour of the pavilions and attractions, including GM's Futurama, Sinclair Oil's Dinoland, Michelangelo's Pieta and so much more.

Have you ever wondered why you doodle the way you do? This entertaining class will teach you how to interpret your doodles using basic principles of handwriting analysis. Participants are encouraged to bring samples of their doodles to class.

8. Mexican Street Food (LLC 5621)
City Center Campus
Wednesday, June 26
5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Learn to make flavorful Mexican treats like corn boats (sopes), grilled Mexican corn and flautas. You'll also learn how to create refreshing drinks like horchata and hibiscus iced tea.

In this class, you'll use alcohol inks to paint a beautiful set of wineglasses to take home. This easy painting technique requires no previous skills. All supplies will be provided.

Learn how to create your own movies using free online video editing tools. This class is designed for home movie makers who have no experience editing video.
