Spring Break Plans and Tips From Students

The halls will be quieter this week, as JJC students are off for spring break. While we’ll miss the bustle of campus, we’re glad our students are getting some much-needed time to relax.

We reached out to several students on their plans for spring break, as well as their advice for fellow students during this time. Here is what 12 of them had to say.

Joseph Buckley

Major: Agriculture production/management | Hometown: Kankakee

Plans for break: I am starting an eight-week production internship at Willrett Natural Farm. I will be learning about the day-to-day responsibilities on an organic farming operation.

Suggestions for fellow students: Go out and enjoy yourself with family and friends.

Plans for break: Spending time with my grandparents in Michigan and studying for my psychology exam in advance.

Suggestions for fellow students: Study for exams almost every day, go to sleep early (between 10 p.m. – midnight), and wake up early (between 7 and 9 a.m.). This is in order to feel more successful in your classes.
