With only a month left before graduation, we know you're busy wrapping up class projects and prepping for finals. 

But don't forget that there's a light at the end of the tunnel and new beginnings are right around the corner! If you're like many JJC students, you'll be headed off to a four-year university this fall. As you get ready for this next step, the ideas below will help you prepare for your new school.

Thirty-seven percent of Americans agree that spring cleaning improves mental health - which means that old phrase, "mess causes stress" has some merit to it. We all know that cleaning isn't fun, but there are some real benefits of having a tidy home, from less fatigue and stress to reduced allergy symptoms.

You don't need to binge watch Netflix's Tidying Up with Marie Kondo to get started on your spring cleaning. Take a look below for some quick tips, whether you want to tackle your car, your room, your home or your apartment.

Attending community college is one of the smartest decisions you can make for your future. This is a sentiment that New York Magazine and Huffpost reporter Yashar Ali knows all too well. In a tweet from March 14, he asked other Twitter users to express their love for community colleges - and several of our very own JJC alums replied.

Did you know that you can apply for multiple JJC scholarships all at once? Our scholarship application does the hard work for you - all you have to do is answer a few questions and you'll be automatically entered into the scholarships you qualify for.

Did you know that JJC has its very own MakerLab?

Packed with cool equipment (most notably 3D printers), the lab is an environment for both students and the community to create almost anything they want using materials like filament, craft plywood, acrylic sheets, vinyl and more. Note: Anyone can tour or visit the MakerLab during regular hours, but to use the equipment in the lab, you must be a MakerLab member.

Ah, the research paper.

It can be one of the most time-consuming homework assignments that you'll ever work on in college. If you find yourself grunting every time you think about it, stop right where you are and take a look at the helpful tips below - they may make the process a little easier. 

If you're a JJC student, there's at least one thing you have in common with the Lost Generation (those born 1883 to 1900): you attend the same community college as they did.

Have you heard of flex start classes? Formerly labeled as "late start," JJC's flex start classes allow you to begin your course after the semester start date. They have a shorter duration than a regular, 16-week class and usually last between eight to 14 weeks. You can register for them at any time - even weeks after the semester has started.
