The Joliet Junior College radiologic technology program is accepting applications Nov. 1 through Nov. 30 for the summer 2020 semester.

Radiologic technologists image the human body utilizing x-rays to assess patient health. The two-year associate degree path educates students on radiographic procedures, radiographic positioning, radiographic physics, and patient care. Radiologic technologists are employed in a variety of medical settings, from hospitals to outpatient clinics.

JJC’s newest program, medical assisting, begins in spring 2020. The need for medical assistants is in high demand with an aging baby-boom generation in need of preventative care.

Joliet Junior College financial aid advisors assist prospective students in understanding and completing the FAFSA, and will be doing so during a series of upcoming FAFSA Completion Night events. The final series of Flex Start classes for the fall semester at JJC begin Monday, Oct. 14. There are over 50 classes to choose from in a variety of programs. Flex Start classes allow students to take shorter term courses that start later in the semester, giving students more opportunities to manage around their schedules.
